
Terms and Conditions for The Formula Experience
These subscription terms and conditions apply in addition to our standard Terms of Service. By purchasing a subscription, you agree to the following:
1a. Subscription Details
This is a monthly subscription at a set price, that may be subject to change. The price includes the following:
- A digital copy of the current month's formula, sent via email within 48 hours of starting or renewing your subscription.
- A physical product of the current month's formula, sent within 48 business hours of your digital formula being delivered.
No further discounts are applied to subscription price.

Membership begins in the month you join, and you will receive the Formula and product allocated for that month, regardless of the date you sign up. If you wish to receive the following month’s Formula instead, please wait until the 1st of that month to join. If you join during the wrong month and choose to cancel your subscription before the Formula or product has been dispatched, a cancellation and refund can be arranged. Approved refunds will be issued minus any payment processing fees incurred by DIY Body Care.
2. Subscription Communications Policy
By subscribing, you will automatically be added to the subscription email list. This ensures you receive important updates and details about upcoming formulas. This mailing list is separate from our general monthly newsletter and is used solely for subscription-related communications. To limit the number of emails you receive, the monthly newsletter is replaced by the exclusive subscription email, offering even more content.
If you choose to unsubscribe from the subscription email list, you will not be re-added automatically. In doing so, you acknowledge that you may miss important updates regarding future formulas or subscription renewals. It is your responsibility to source this information through alternative channels, such as our website or social media platforms, prior to renewing your subscription.
3. Allergies and Ingredients
Please consider any allergies before subscribing, as individual adjustments cannot be made. All subscribers receive the same product as per the formula provided.
Our most common allergen is soy, which is present in the Vitamin E used in many formulations.
Ingredients and potential allergens will be disclosed before each monthly release so you can decide whether to continue, skip, or cancel your subscription. Refunds will not be issued due to allergens once a product or formula has been sent.
4. Ingredient Availability and Substitution Policy
Before subscribing or renewing, please review the ingredients included in each formula to ensure they align with your brand values and are readily available to you. Details about upcoming formulas are shared in our monthly newsletter (make sure you’re subscribed) and on our social media channels. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us prior to subscribing or renewing.
While many formulas include suggested ingredient alternatives, please note that we are unable to test every possible variation or guarantee availability of specific ingredients. Any modifications you choose to make to a formula will need to be trialled and adjusted by you.
5. Shipping
All physical products are sent via Australia Post using padded mailers to the registered mailing address on your account.
DIY Body Care are not responsible if incorrect mailing information is supplied. Please ensure your details are kept upto date.
Pick-up is not available.
6. Subscription Management
Subscriptions can be cancelled or skipped at any time. We announce the new formula one week prior to release, giving you time to make changes before renewal.
Renewal reminders will be sent before each billing date to allow you to confirm or update your payment details, shipping address, or subscription status.
If no action is taken and your subscription renews, no refunds will be issued once the formula or product has been sent.
In cases where a refund is approved, it will be less any payment processing fees incurred by DIY Body Care.
7. Payment
Payments for subscriptions are currently accepted via credit card only. PayPal is not available for subscription payments at this time.
Upon renewal, if a payment attempt fails, the system will automatically retry up to three additional times, every two days. If payment is still unsuccessful after the third attempt, the subscription will automatically cancel with notification sent.
8. Eligibility and International Orders
Subscriptions are available only to customers with a valid Australian postal address.
We cannot ship internationally. You may use a mail forwarding service at your own risk; DIY Body Care accepts no responsibility for the product once it leaves Australia, nor for any customs fees, tariffs, or delays.
If an international order is placed in error and requires cancellation, the refund will be processed less any payment fees incurred by DIY Body Care.
9. Regulatory Compliance and Product Testing Policy
It is the subscriber’s responsibility to understand and comply with all regulations, standards, and ingredient restrictions applicable in their country or state. DIY Body Care does not submit formulas for external testing or regulatory approval in jurisdictions where such testing is required.
Subscribers are solely responsible for ensuring that any products created using our formulas meet the necessary local compliance requirements. DIY Body Care accepts no liability for non-compliance or failed testing outcomes. Refunds will not be issued in cases where a formula does not meet regulatory standards.
