This Lip Oil recipe has been developed as a nourishing alternative to traditional lip glosses and balms. Unlike glosses, it isn’t tacky or drying, and unlike balms, it delivers a beautiful level of shine while still feeling soft and conditioning on the lips. The result is a comfortable, wear-all-day lip product that enhances the lips without heaviness or stickiness.

The formula uses Cera Bellina, a modified beeswax, to thicken the oils into an opaque, creamy texture that melts effortlessly on application. This gives the lip oil a rich, cushiony feel that could easily be described as a lip butter, combining shine with deep comfort and care.

This recipe is designed to provide shine and a sheer wash of colour only, rather than a staining effect. However, guidance is included on how to adjust the colour component should you wish to modify the formula to create a lip stain, allowing flexibility for further product development while maintaining the integrity of the base formula.
